The buildings and projects included in this e-archive comprise Eric Owen Moss work in Culver City and Central Los Angeles. Since 1986, Moss has collaborated with Frederick and Laurie Samitaur Smith and their company Samitaur Constructs to revitalize an industrial tract development that the Smiths call Conjunctive Points.

Once the site of abandoned sheds and warehouses, the area is now home to digital, new-media, entertainment, and dot-com companies as well as a dance studio, outdoor musical performances, and the greatest concentration of works by Moss. Now that these efforts have reached critical mass, this Planet Architecture edition examines both Moss architecture and the Smiths urban objectives for Culver City and Los Angeles. This CD-ROM features an intuitive, multi-referenced interface used to access the entire e-archive (electronic archive) of video interviews, photographs, writings, virtual reality panoramas, and drawings.

The unique graphical interface takes full advantage of the interactive media and makes the self guided explorations both user friendly and enjoyable. This e-archive provides comprehensive documentation and virtual experiences unparalleled by any single medium. Over 120 photographs of interiors, exteriors, and details document these projects like never before. 29 virtual reality panoramas (allowing 360 degree panning) take you there virtually.

Numerous computer renderings explain the conceptual ideas and process of developing the unusual forms and structures. An extensive 39 minute video interview with Eric Owen Moss brings new insights in understanding his imaginative an controversial works. A comprehensive collection of drawings: plans, elevations, sections, and concept sketches allow you to study and analyze each project. Guest Editor, Dana Hutt provides a 24 minute video overview of Mosss career as well as introduces each project in a narrated slide show format.
